LutherLink exists to connect the Lutheran university community across generations — bridging the gap between students searching for direction and alumni ready to give back.
Lutheran theology has always held that vocation — our calling in life — is not something we discover alone. It is discerned in community, through relationships, through the wisdom of those who have walked the path before us.
LutherLink was built on that conviction. We believe that a student at a Lutheran university church deserves more than a job board. They deserve real access to real people — alumni who share their values, understand their formation, and want to help them find their way.
We also know that alumni want to give back, but often don't know how. LutherLink makes it easy to pay forward the mentorship and support you received — whether that's a 15-minute call or a warm introduction to someone in your network.
Ultimately, the broader mission of LutherLink is to provide young Lutherans with an entrance into the workforce to beign building careers and spheres of influence. Our Lord calls us to be salt and light in the world through our works (Matthew 5:13-16), and we believe that starts with helping the next generation of Lutherans find their footing in the world of work. From there, they can go on to be the leaders, innovators, and changemakers who shape our country and our world for the better — all while living out their vocation in service to others.
Whether you are a student figuring out your first step or an alumnus looking to give back to the community that shaped you, LutherLink is your network.
Lutheran education builds whole people, not just career-ready graduates. LutherLink exists to sustain that community beyond graduation — connecting people across years, industries, and geography.
We believe work is a calling, not just a paycheck. Our platform is built to help students and alumni discern their vocation — with mentors who understand what that means from the inside.
A warm introduction should not depend on your zip code or your parents' network. LutherLink levels the playing field — every student gets access to the same alumni community, for free.
Every alumni profile is verified through a the pastor at their home congregation and a graduation record. Students can engage confidently knowing the community is genuine, respectful, and accountable.
Your relationship with LutherLink doesn't end at graduation. Alumni become mentors. Mentors become connectors. The network grows stronger with every person who gives back.
LutherLink is not limited to one school. Any student or graduate of a Lutheran university church is welcome — the more diverse the network, the stronger it becomes.
LutherLink started as a simple idea: that Lutheran students deserved the same kind of alumni network that students at large research universities take for granted. Here is how it grew.
A student at Purdue University, in conversing with his pastor, realized the lack of a dedicated network for Lutheran students and alumni that left the university congregation to go into the workforce. Working alongside his pastor, they decided to build a platform to connect Lutheran students and alumni across the country.
